Still playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf? Need an easier way to keep track of its holidays? We’ve got you covered. At the beginning of every month, we’ll be posting a handy list of all the special events going on in the game, so you’ll never miss a chance to snag some rare items. What events will be going on this month?

May 11 – Mother’s Day

Take a moment to appreciate everything your mother– both your real and virtual one– has done for you. Check your mailbox to find a letter from your in-game mom, which will contain a special pink carnation. Plant it next to the red carnation you receive from you father on Father’s Day and you may even produce a rare white carnation!

May 17 – Fishing Tourney

The biggest event in May also happens to be the final fishing tourney of the season. Take your best catch over to the event plaza to have it evaluated by Chip, the hungry event coordinator, who will give you a piece of fish-themed furniture if you can exceed a certain point total. Maintain the lead by the end of the day and you’ll also be awarded a gold fishing trophy!
