3DS gets the most attention this week, with a slew of eShop, Virtual Console, and even DSiWare games, but Wii U isn’t completely ignored.
The sole release on Wii U is the GBA classic Wario Land 4 on Virtual Console for $7.99. The sequel focuses on Wario’s quest for treasure inside a Golden Pyramid and has a number of cool transformations, as well as addictive minigames in order to gain power-ups to use against bosses. Wii U also sees Trine 2: Director’s Cut getting discounted down from $19.99 to $9.99 until May 29. If you’ve been putting off getting this rather beautiful game, now is the perfect time to give it a go! If you feel like you need to know more about it first though, our run-through of the series can help catch you up to speed.
On the 3DS eShop, this week sees the release of The Denpa Men 3: The Rise of the Digitoll ($9.99). The latest in the crazy AR RPG series now allows you to customise the homes of your Denpa Men before embarking on adventures with them. Next up is Grinsia ($9.99), a port of the iOS and Android JRPG. It promises improved controls, dual screen support, and more alongside its 16-bit inspired graphics, thrilling story, and day and night cycle. The final eShop release is Parking Star 3D ($2.99), in which you must strive to park cars with minimal scratches around five cities and across 40 maps.
You can also pick up demos of both The Denpa Men 3: The Rise of the Digitoll and Gardening Mama 2: Forest Friends.
On 3DS Virtual Console, “Mega May” continues with the release of Mega Man II and Mega Man III, both of which are available for $2.99. With new details on Mighty No. 9 slowly emerging, now is as good a time as any to find out why people are so excited about Keiji Inafune’s upcoming Mega Man inspired game.
The following games on 3DS have also received discounts: Murder on the Titanic, Jewel Match 3, 3D Games Collection, Aqua Moto Racing 3D, Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millenium Girl, and Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan.
If that wasn’t enough, there are also three new DSiWare games available this week. Sokomania 2: Cool Job (200 Nintendo Points) gives you the chance to solve 100+ Sokoban puzzles and is the final DSiWare title from Cinemax. Jewel Match (500 Nintendo Points) is a puzzle game in which you have to match three jewels across 150 levels and includes multiplayer support. The final game which you can get your hands on this week is Jewel Quest 4 Heritage (800 Nintendo Points), which is another match three puzzle game.
So the biggest question this week has to be: Will you be picking up Jewel Match or Jewel Quest 4 Heritage?

Well color me impressed about Wario Land 4. I figured Wii U’s virtual console was doomed this month because of this Mega May business on 3DS, but I guess not! Good stuff.
