Frankly, there’s not that much to see in the digital world this week. The major release is Just Dance 2014, releasing on Wii U as a retail download on October 8. That actually sounds like rather a good delivery method for party games like the Just Dance series– they allow taking the console round to people’s houses without also needing to transport discs.
If you’re into fighting games there might be some appeal in the release of the Final Fight games (1, 2, and 3) on the Wii U Virtual Console. In addition, buying any one of the three will get you money off another fighting game. Pretty sweet deal.
On the discount front, the superb Little Inferno is discounted to $7.49 for this week, giving any Wii U owners the chance to pick up an innovative and fun little game that’s lovely to play on a cold winter’s night. Do it. Do it now.
Over on 3DS, there’s Picross e3. For those of you not familiar with Picross, mix the brain-teasing of Sudoku with the addictiveness of prescription painkillers and you’re halfway there. Making little pixel drawings from numbers and a grid has never been so much fun. In terms of retail options, you’ve got Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure heading over to the download market finally.
The last game for the Wii U eShop is TNT Nitro Racers – Micro Machines Edition. For 3DS, there’s also Family Bowling 3D, Happy Circus, and Halloween Trick Or Treat 2.
Will you be downloading any of this week’s titles? Let us know in the comments!
