Still playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf? Need an easier way to keep track of its holidays? We’ve got you covered. At the beginning of every month, we’ll be posting a handy list of all the special events going on in the game, so you’ll never miss a chance to snag some rare items. What events will be going on this month?
October 12 – Fishing Tourney
Like the summer’s Bug-Off, the Fishing Tourney is a town-wide competition to land the biggest fish. Take your catch over to the event plaza to have it evaluated by Chip, the hungry event coordinator, who will give you a piece of fish-themed furniture if you can exceed a certain point total. Maintain the lead by the end of the day and you’ll also be awarded a gold fishing trophy!
October 14 – Explorer’s Day
Celebrate the spirit of adventure (and accidental discoveries) on Explorer’s Day. Visit Isabelle at your town’s event plaza to receive a sailboat model.
October 31 – Halloween
The biggest event in October, Halloween is the one night of the year that Jack, the czar of Halloween, comes to your town. Like in previous Animal Crossing games, you’ll be able to stock up on candy in the days leading up to the holiday, which you’ll need to keep hungry trick-or-treaters at bay. This time, however, you’ll also be able to purchase different masks that you can use to scare your neighbors into giving up rare lollipops. But be careful– if you’re caught wandering around town without any candy, your neighbors will play tricks on you instead! Track down Jack and exchange your sweets for a special piece of creepy furniture.
Wow, I never knew that Jack and your villagers would be able to play tricks on you! I didn’t even know that by wearing different masks you can personally scare your villagers! I’ll definitely be checking back again for future monthly ACNL event articles!
