4) “My body is ready” from Reggie Fils-Aimes
This was a slow burn meme. It started when Nintendo was presenting Wii Fit at E3. Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s president and Meme Magnet, simply said “my body is ready” before he stepped onto the Wii Balance Board while showing off Wii Fit at E3. It took about 3 years before this became a meme, kind of amazing in terms of internet meme-dom. Usually it hits immediately like a microwaved burrito. This one was like a roux of a damn good gumbo.
This meme is great for those days before a big event happens, whether it’s video game related or not. Usually, this meme is done in a sexual manner, but for me (at least) I like to think of it more as just the anticipation for anything, not just things that are sexual in nature. There’s also iterations of either puns or a response of “My body wasn’t ready” with the image of somebody who just got owned.

I haven’t heard of some of these (specifically #5 and #6).
Also, Zero Wing is not a Nintendo game and never appeared on any of Nintendo’s consoles.
I always quote #7. It is so much fun seeing the reactions. I usally get #3 thrown back at me by someone.
Number 8 is obviously the greatest meme– and the greatest video– in the history of the Internet.
