Nintendo has recently announced via the Japanese 3DS eShop that, come March, a 3DS Save Data Transfer tool will become available in Japan. What is the 3DS Save Data Transfer Tool, you ask? Well, it’s simply an app that allows an owner of a physical game, who has recently repurchased the same game via the eShop, to transfer their save data from the cartridge to their new downloadable copy. This shall prove to be a very useful feature for those of us that tend to buy the same exact game twice! However, nothing has been said about this feature coming outside of Japan, so keep posted to Nintendojo to see when a Save Data Transfer Tool comes to an eShop near you! You can watch the Iwata’s floating head making the announcement below!
