One of the more shocking announcements of yesterday’s Nintendo Direct was the reveal of Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, a crossover Wii U title. While we still know next to nothing about the game, a tiny bit of information has trickled out regarding its developer(s).
Index, the parent company of Atlus, has confirmed that the game is being co-developed by both Nintendo and Atlus. It seems like a no-brainer, but this news confirms it will be a joint effort as opposed to just one company handling the development. Not much other news has come out about Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, besides the fact that is, in fact, an RPG. Shocker!
Other than these small details, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem is still shrouded in mystery. My bet is that it will be a strategy RPG similar to Pokémon Conquest, another high-profile crossover title.
