Capcom has announced that Resident Evil: Revelations will be coming to Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on May 21. Revelations was released last February on 3DS and it received great reviews. Besides the obvious graphics overhaul, the new Revelations will also feature a new difficulty mode, new enemies, and new weapons and characters for Raid Mode, the cooperative multiplayer component of the game. Here’s a short trailer for the Japanese release:
Just yesterday, I started playing Resident Evil 4 for the second time and I am still terrified around sharp corners. The unique, almost-too-awkward camera in Resident Evil 4 really amps up the experience and makes it horrifying when a mob of enemies completely surrounds you.
I am interested to see what new additions will be on Revelations for Wii U. Revelations for 3DS is a portable game; it can be played comfortably in short sessions. What will Capcom do for Revelations on Wii U to make it suitable for console gaming? What will Capcom do with the Wii U GamePad? Given the multi-platform release of the game, I am not expecting much specialization. However, I do want to see both local and online multiplayer, especially on Wii U.
2013 is looking absolutely crazy for both 3DS and Wii U. I hope my wallet holds up.

I wonder if its backward compatible with 3DS version so it will get a lot of online gamers right away. I see this as a confession that RE6 is more action then scary like RE:R was. Or its them wanting a RE game for Wii U and Capcom is being lazy…
