Remember in the most recent Nintendo Direct when Mr.Iwata began to talk about the next Smash Bros. games? If you were like me, you were probably all amped up to see just a screen shot, a logo, anything! Sadly, that never happened. However, we did get one solid announcement: the next Super Smash Bros., for both Wii U AND 3DS, will be at this year’s E3. This exciting fact was once again confirmed by the Smash Bros. man himself, Masahiro Sakurai, via Twitter. His Tweets roughly translated to,
“Wii U and 3DS versions– I would like to show you both….Other games have had visuals shown, but you still have to wait for Smash Bros. But we’ll be able to release something better.”
Sakurai, you big tease! Hopefully we’ll get more than just a few “screens” like Iwata mentioned in the Nintendo Direct, but I’ll be happy either way! What do you hope to see out of the new Smash Bros.? Sound off in the comments below!
