Club Nintendo has updated its available rewards, and a few great games are now available for those willing to part with a few of their hard-earned coins!
- Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Wii Virtual Console, 200 Coins)
- Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream (Wii U Virtual Console, 200 Coins)
- Art Style: PiCTOBiTS (3DS eShop, 150 Coins)
- Donkey Kong Jr. (3DS Virtual Console, 150 Coins)
Those interested in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars should note that Club Nintendo is advertising it as a Wii U title but, like 1080° Snowboarding last month, this appears to be the Wii Virtual Console version of the game. That means that while it lacks GamePad features like off-TV play, regular Wii owners can also purchase it as part of the promotion. Still, it’s one of the Super Nintendo’s finest titles, and well worth the small asking price!
Will you spend some of your coins on any of these titles? As always, let us know in the comments below!

Aww… I’m interested in Super Mario RPG, but just spent all my coins on multiple 3DS cases. Oh well. Nintendo will surely offer the game again in the future, and it’s not like I really needed another VC title that I don’t have time to play right now anyway.
Plus, it looks to be one of those “Wii mode” downloads. Club Nintendo can try me again when it’s playable on the gamepad. Why are they doing this nonsense?
I’m totally with you, Penduin. This is probably the top game I would like to see on the Wii U Virtual Console. I still have the cartridge for my SNES, but I would really like to make the Wii U my one-stop shop as much as possible.
The lack of Wii U virtual console releases is a bit angering. Nintendo should realize that release dates don’t matter on 15 year old games, so they might as well release a dozen a week instead of one to two (sometimes zero). Trust me, I’ll buy the games I want to play on the virtual console, and I won’t buy the ones that I’m hesitant on just because it’s the only thing new that week.
Oh and Super Mario RPG is a great game (one of my favorites) that I own the SNES and the Wii Virtual Console; if you don’t have the coins to buy the game, use your dollars.
On the SNES and the Wii Virtual Console, that is.
