Pokémon Battle Trozei, a sequel to the 2006 Pokémon puzzler Pokémon Trozei, was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct. Battle Trozei is a puzzle battling game in which you use the 3DS touch screen to match Pokémon faces in rows of three or more. The Pokémon fill up the bottom and top screens, and you use your stylus to grab and drag them into matching rows, which then allow you to attack whatever Pokémon you are battling. Once you weaken your opponent enough, you can capture them and add them to your collection. You use Pokémon from your collection to battle, and type advantages will be important to success.
The game will feature every single known Pokémon, drawing from Red and Blue all the way to X and Y. If you find yourself up against a particularly strong opponent, you can take advantage of the game’s four player co-op and get some help from your friends.
Pokémon Battle Trozei releases on the 3DS eShop on March 20. Are you excited for Nintendo’s new Pokémon puzzle game? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Puzzle and Dragons Z is taking a while to localize, so this will be a great way to tide me over until its release. Gotta love puzzle RPGs!
