Still playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf? Need an easier way to keep track of its holidays? We’ve got you covered. At the beginning of every month, we’ll be posting a handy list of all the special events going on in the game, so you’ll never miss a chance to snag some rare items. What events will be going on this month?

June 15 – Father’s Day

Check your mailbox on Father’s Day to find a letter from your virtual parents, which will contain a special red carnation. Plant it next to the pink carnation you received on Mother’s Day and you may even produce a rare white carnation!

June 21 – Bug Off

The fishing tourney may be over for the season, but you’ll still have a chance to show off your skills in the Bug Off! Take the bugs you catch over to the event plaza to have them evaluated by Nat, the event coordinator, who will give you a piece of bug-themed furniture if you can exceed a certain point total. Maintain the lead by the end of the day and you’ll also be awarded a gold bug trophy!

June 21 – Summer Solstice

The Bug Off isn’t the only event taking place on June 21 this year; it’s also the day of the Summer Solstice. The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year in Animal Crossing: New Leaf— so long that the sun never sets! Find Isabelle at your town’s event plaza to receive a special pair of ladder shades to protect your eyes from all the sunlight.
