Nintendo has announced that following the release of the final two Wii Sports Club events, baseball and boxing, on June 27, the company will be bringing a retail version of the game, including all five of the planned sports, to European markets.
The announcement also provided some new details on the as of yet unreleased sports. In baseball, gamers will use a Wii Remote Plus for batting and the Wii U GamePad’s screen will provide a first-person view for pitching. In boxing, players will take a Wii Remote Plus in each hand for “more precise offensive and defensive maneuvers.”
Although a physical version of the sports collection was also previously announced for Japan, there has been no word as of yet on a North American release. Whether the Big N is simply biding its time and perhaps waiting to announce a release at E3, or if digital adoption of the title in North America has been strong enough that a retail version is unnecessary remains to be seen. Tell us your thoughts in the comments!

I’d love to see a physical disk of this hit stateside.
I have read somewhere the retail version of Wii Sports Club is coming out in North America on July 25th for the suggested retail price of $39.99.
Good eye, I saw a report about that yesterday, too.
