10) Tetrisphere
Released: 1997
Accusing Tetrisphere of being nothing more than a gimmick would be selling the game massively short. Though it did borrow heavily from Tetris with its falling block gameplay, setting the action around a three-dimensional rotating sphere was a stroke of genius that distinguished Tetrisphere as its own game. Becoming accustomed to the title’s unique playing field took some getting used to, but for those who were willing to learn, it was worth it to experience a unique and fun spin on an old favorite.
