For such an iconic franchise whose music is frequently talked about, it seems people always tend to focus on Pokémon’s battle, title, or route themes more than anything else. To this, I began to wonder, “What about the city/town themes that permeate our ears every time we set foot in those said towns?” I always found myself drawn to Pokémon’s city music more than anything else, so I thought I would count down the Top Ten Pokémon Town Tunes.
As a rule of thumb, I’ve made myself choose at least one town tune from each region.
First off, a couple of honorable mentions to Opelucid City from the Unova Region (White Version only), Cerulean/Fuschia City from the Kanto Region (HeartGold/SoulSilver rendition here, FireRed/LeafGreen version here), and Laverre City from the Kalos Region. All three are fine songs that would have a spot if I either had more room or didn’t limit myself.
