After today’s E3 presentation, Nintendo sent out a press release announcing more details about the Wii U GameCube Controller adapter. The adapter will release alongside Super Smash Bros. for Wii U for $19.99, with the new Smash Bros. themed GameCube Controllers costing $29.99. If you want everything at once, you can get the game, adapter, and one controller for $99.99. The adapter supports up to four GameCube controller for Smash Bros., though no other games have been confirmed as compatible.
We will probably see plenty of players using the GameCube controller later tonight during the Smash Bros. Invitational. I think the best thing that will come out of this is that I no longer have to pay $50 for a new GameCube controller. Hooray!
