We may not have gotten an official release date for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games for Wii U and 3DS, but we do have an idea of when they’ll be launching. At the start of today’s Smash Bros. Direct broadcast, series director Masahiro Sakurai announced a release window for the anticipated brawlers.
According to Sakurai, the 3DS version of Smash Bros. will be the first of the two games to see release, launching sometime this summer. The Wii U version, meanwhile, will be following in winter of this year.
Which of the two Smash Bros. games are you looking forward to more? Will they be launching sooner or later than you expected? Let us know in the comments!

I am most definitely looking forward to the Wii U version! I can’t imagine playing Smash any other way besides on the big screen, in HD, with the music turned way up.
But the 3DS version could be a tempting purchase if the wait is too long for me. In any case, I am definitely getting the console version, and the portable version is a maybe.
So this summer Nintendojo community needs to do some game nights of smash bros 3DS. That new mode looks awesome.
