Pandora’s Tower may have just been released in the U.S. for Wii (a full year after it arrived in Europe, and two years after it debuted in Japan), but the game’s developer Ganbarion has already set its sights on Wii U, saying it is currently thinking of ideas on how to use the system’s unorthodox features.
In an interview with Siliconera, Toru Haga, director of Pandora’s Tower, discussed his thoughts on Nintendo’s newest home console, calling it a “unique” platform with “exciting features.” He went on to discuss some of the preliminary gameplay ideas the studio had come up with, such as a “tabletop RPG” in which players can use the GamePad’s dedicated screen to “give each other objectives.”
As novel as this idea is, however, Ganbarion hasn’t announced that such a game is currently in development, so there’s no confirmation that it will ever materialize. Still, it’s interesting to hear some of the ideas the studio is mulling over.

It’s nice to see devs working on the new console. I’d be a bit more excited if Pandora’s Tower had been fun for me!
haven’t played pandora’s tower yet, but the reviews are mixed, maybe i’ll get it in the future. More developers and new ideas on the wiiU is just what the console needs, so, good news.
