Mario Kart 8 to Get Mercedes DLC

For Japanese gamers, at least.

Nintendo has announced that free Mercedes-themed DLC will be coming to Mario Kart 8 in Japan this summer.

This will be the first time that players can race with a real-world car in the Mushroom Kingdom, and it joins a substantial number of customisable vehicles in the base game itself.

Nintendo has promised that more information is coming soon. Meanwhile, while there is no news on whether Western gamers will also get this DLC, thankfully we can all check out the awesome trailer below:

  I’ve seen some people making fun of this on the net, but come on, this is a pretty neat little promotion. And the trailer is amazingly fun.

  I’d like to see DLC arena-styled stages for battle mode. That would fix the only major flaw with the game.
