Despite the impending release of both Pokémon X and Pokémon Y this coming Saturday, the proverbial cat is already out of the bag on another franchise entry starring the electric mouse himself, Pikachu.
Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO and Producer at The Pokémon Company, revealed that development of the game began this past summer. Specific details such as a release date and genre for the upcoming title were not provided, although Ishihara did somewhat enigmatically state that the game would focus on a boy who would use playfulness as a weapon.
Keep your dials tuned in to Nintendojo for more details on this release as they emerge. Personally, I’m hoping it will turn out to be a gritty first person shooter with RPG elements and a complex morality system.
