Nintendo’s struggles with the Wii U this year have been well-publicized, causing some publishers to get cold feet when it comes to support. With a price drop and an upcoming Zelda bundle on the way, this Christmas season could be a promising chance for the Wii U to turn things around. One publisher, however, already seems to be firmly in Nintendo’s corner. In an interview with CVG, Activision Publishing’s chief executive Eric Hirshberg elaborated on just why they have faith in Nintendo’s latest console.

“[Nintendo is] obviously having a rough go with the Wii U launch thus far,” Hirshberg told CVG. “But if we can add to the appeal of the platform then we absolutely will.”

Activision is more than just talk. They have six confirmed releases for the Wii U within the next few months, including Call of Duty: Ghosts this November.

“Nintendo has been a great partner for us,” Hirshberg went on. “It has some of the best game-makers in the world, and I wouldn’t count them out.”
