During its special Pokémon-themed Nintendo Direct this morning, Nintendo announced a pair of applications that Pokémon fans will be able to use in conjunction with the upcoming sixth generation titles: Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter.
As its name implies, Pokémon Bank is a cloud service that allows players to store up to 3000 of their Pokémon on the Internet, similar to Pokémon Box for Nintendo GameCube. Poké Transfer, on the other hand, is a 3DS-specific app that allows players to easily transfer their monsters from Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 to the Pokémon Bank, thereby allowing them to be used in Pokémon X and Y.
Nintendo has also announced that players will be required to pay an annual fee to use the Pokémon Bank, but the company has not yet revealed how much that fee will be.
What do you think of these two Pokémon services? Let us know in the comments!
