    Game Knight

I had to hustle to make time for Game Night. After putting my daughter to bed and getting some house work done, I got 30mins of uninterrupted game time. I’m sure we will become more efficient with setting up these sessions as we play the games more often and get used to the process. One idea to try to make Game Night a little easier maybe for Noah and Evan to host game sessions set up for Friends only. That way, the people who are on their Friends Lists can find them and join their games without random people crashing the party.

I had both Assassin’s Creed 3 and Heroes of Ruin up and running, just in case I could not get into one or the other. I was looking for a hosted game to join, but I couldn’t figure out how to find one on either system. I kept refreshing the Friends only search for multiplayer in Heroes of Ruin, and I could not find a way to search for existing Friends’ sessions in Assassin’s Creed 3. I could see that they were both online and playing their respective games, but I just couldn’t find them. Eventually the night was saved via the magic of Friend Requests in Assassin’s Creed 3. I was able to join Evan’s game by simply pressing the minus button to accept his request (I had sent him a few requests first in desperation).

While playing Assassin’s Creed 3, I set the Stereoscopic 3D option to Top-Bottom, selected the same option in my TV’s settings and put on my passive 3D glasses. It’s pretty neat to play a Nintendo Wii U game in 3D. It’s just nice to know that it’s possible, and I hope more developers include the option in future games. I’ve always enjoyed co-op over vs play, and I’m glad I got to try out the Wolfpack mode. I especially like the cut scenes after each game that show the player doing a triple kill or lending a helping hand, etc… depending on how that session played out.

Evan, I’m sad to see you are deleting Swap Note. I’m probably to blame for the number of notes out there. About 2 weeks ago I started the “Build the Community” project. I began sending out friend codes to all my friends to get everyone connected that wanted to Swap Note. As a result, we have about 35-40 people that are sending Swap Notes nearly every day. I probably average receiving 50-80 notes per day.

I had noticed you and Noah had not sent out notes in a long time.

We’ll still be friends on MiiVerse. I just don’t find it near as fun as Swap Note. I’m hoping Nintendo makes some changes to it so you can be more active with your friends.
