Tomorrow, Capcom’s blue bomber turns 25 years old. While he doesn’t look a day over 24, Capcom and Nintendo are nonetheless celebrating with an eShop discount that’s sure to make Mega Man fans celebrate. From now until Wednesday at 8:59 A.M. PT, two classic Mega Man titles will be on sale on the Nintendo eShop for just two dollars apiece! On the Wii U, gamers can snag SNES classic Mega Man X, while 3DS owners can download Mega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revenge, originally released on Game Boy. Mega Man X normally costs $7.99, while Mega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revenge is discounted from its normal price of $3.99.
Just last week, our own Anthony Vigna was lamenting the fact that Capcom has been mostly silent when it comes to the hero’s anniversary. While it would still be nice to see Mega Man starring in some new releases, a discount on two undeniably classic games is a pretty nice runner-up prize. Unfortunately, the sale is confined to US residents only. That means that, unlike most eShop discounts, our other North American readers are left out in the cold on this one.

I already downloaded Mega Man X, myself!
I was so excited about Mega Man X… then so disappointed when I found out that Canada got the cold shoulder on this deal. LOL.
Oh well. Easy come, easy go. Nice deal for those who can take advantage of it!
:)
Picked up Mega Man X in a heartbeat. If anyone has never played it, pick it up now! Two dollars for one of the best Mega Man games ever created is an incredible deal!
I wonder what the reasoning was for excluding Canadians from Mega Man awesomeness?
Good thing I have Mega Man X Collection for PS2. And I’ve already downloaded Dr Wily’s Revenge. :P
Now live in Canada! No idea when the sale ends, but it’s a great price (especially for X) so grab them fast!
