We know that The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is a sequel to the SNES title The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It takes place in the same world full of similar items and people, so is it possible that the Link from Link to the Past made his way into the sequel? According to the IGN Wikis page, it is.
According to IGN’s Link Between Worlds guide, if you complete all 50 StreetPass challenges in the game, you are challenged by a special opponent: Gramps! When you fight him he is fully decked out with a Master Sword and Hylian Shield of his own, as well as all the same gear. How would he have gotten all of those things unless he was also a hero from a previous age? This is all speculation of course, but the evidence is pretty convincing if you ask me.
What do you think? Is this an amazing Easter egg or just a mistake? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
