We just brought news of this excellent Metroid-inspired, 2D action-platformer last week, but now it’s more than a mere possibility; ReVeN will be coming to Wii U!
Developer Varia Games says that while the title does feature similar gameplay to Nintendo’s classic series, there will be several play mechanics in ReVeN that will help it stand out on its own. Varia Games says to look forward to a gameplay video coming soon that will display these features, which include something called the EDM system. The Kickstarter campaign for ReVeN is still active, though, as some stretch goals have yet to be reached, including GamePad functionality (which will be implemented at $100,000). Feel free to contribute if you think ReVeN‘s potential is as strong as it appears to be!

Woohoo! The more games the merrier. It looks like this might end up being a Wii U exclusive (in terms of consoles) based on its current pace.
