JRPG fans, rejoice! Bravely Default finally lands in stores and on the 3DS eShop in North America tomorrow. This highly anticipated title harkens back to JRPGs from the SNES era by offering turn-based combat and a robust fantasy setting. The game is critically acclaimed by reviewers everywhere, so I cannot wait to try it out!
However, don’t let this detract from the release of Retro City Rampage: DX, as this game equally deserves your attention if you haven’t played previous incarnations prior to this release. For the uninitiated, this title is an outstanding Grand Theft Auto-styled game in 8-bit that pays homage to ’80s and ’90s culture. The 3DS release was tweaked to be the best version yet, so grab it if you haven’t had the chance yet! Other notable 3DS releases include The LEGO Movie Videogame and One Piece: Romance Dawn. There’s also a sale for Urban Trial Freestyle, which will be $3.49 until 9 a.m. PT on February 20.
The Wii U front is a little more quiet. Other than the Virtual Console release of the insanely hard Ninja Gaiden, there is only the Wii U version of The LEGO Movie Videogame and Percy’s Predicament. Hopefully there will be more Wii U eShop games coming out soon!
What do you think about the current releases? Will you be getting any of these games? Sound off in the comments below!
