Well, that’s a bit of a surprise! Following the release of the Pokémon X & Y soundtrack on iTunes this Fall, Game Freak has unleashed yet another deluge of Pokémon music for everyone to own and enjoy. The original soundtrack for versions FireRed & LeafGreen is up on iTunes right now! These games came out in 2004 for Game Boy Advance, and were remakes of the original Red & Blue versions. There’s 90 tracks available, and it will set you back $11.99 for the whole thing. Or, you could go through and spend 99 cents on just the Game Freak jingle if you wanted to.
This isn’t the last we’re going to see of official Game Freak soundtracks, either. In 2014, every generation of Pokémon is getting an iTunes release! Expect to get music releases for Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, Pearl, HeartGold, SoulSilver, White, Black, White 2, and Black 2! That’s a lot of Pokémon music! Now if only we could get releases of more Nintendo soundtracks, and have them available on other platforms besides iTunes…
