It’s official: Ubisoft has confirmed that its upcoming open-world action game Watch Dogs will indeed be coming to Wii U later this year.
There had been rumblings that the game, which was previously announced for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, would also be released on Nintendo’s new platform after Kotaku got its hands on leaked promotional material for the title that stated it would be coming to “all home consoles.” Ubisoft confirmed this speculation by announcing the game for PlayStation 4 and Wii U at Sony’s special PlayStation event earlier today. This presumably means that Watch Dogs will be coming to Microsoft’s next console as well once the company unveils its Xbox successor, which is also expected to be released later this year.
Will you be picking up Watch Dogs on Wii U when it hits stores this holiday season? Does this news make up for the recent Rayman Legends fiasco? Let us know what you think in the comments!

Bazinga. I know one guy who’s got another reason to get a Wii U.
Unless this game seriously underdelivers (like Colonial Marines apparently has) this is a certain purchase for me. And I’m much more excited for how the gamepad would play than for how the PS4 will render it.
Im glad to see Ubisoft is still supporting the wiiU. Changing Rayman from an exclusive to a multi-plat was a little worry-some. Clearly they arent happy with the size of the current install base.
