Though it’s already been a while since the curtain fell on the epic Mass Effect story, EA and BioWare have been keeping gamers interested with a series of DLC additions to enrich the already deep plot. The Wii U version of Mass Effect 3 has, of course, seen none of these additions aside from having most of the multiplayer expansion included on the disc.
EA has announced the final chapter for the game: Citadel, named after the massive space station that is the political, economic, military, and criminal center of the galaxy as well as playing a major role throughout the series. And its release will coincide with yet another free expansion of the co-op multiplayer mode featuring more characters, weapons, and power-ups. And then, of course, EA confirmed that there are currently no plans to bring any of this to Wii U.
One can only hope that someday Wii U will be blessed with the entirety of the Mass Effect experience, but in the meanwhile all we can do is hope and feel at least a little marginalized.
