Earlier today, publisher XSEED Games unveiled the first US trailer for Pandora’s Tower, the upcoming whip-swinging RPG for Wii (which our European staff thought was pretty great, by the way).
While the game still doesn’t have a set previously listed under. The US trailer, embedded below, gives players a brief overview of the game’s storyline, and introduces some of the important characters they will meet on their journey.
release date, XSEED has revealed that it will launch in North America sometime this April, which is a nice improvement from the nebulous “spring” timetable it wasPandora’s Tower is the final game championed by Operation Rainfall, the fan-led movement to convince Nintendo to localize three of its most notable Wii RPGs for North America (the other two titles being Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story). Nintendo did eventually acquiesce and released Xenoblade last March (albeit in a limited capacity), while XSEED stepped in to publish the remaining two games.
Have you been looking forward to playing Pandora’s Tower? Will you be picking the game up once it launches, or have you already imported a copy? Let us know in the comments!

I played this when it came out here – I’m sorry to say I didn’t enjoy it much, it’s the weakest of the three.
I have this preordered, both because I’m looking forward to it, and because I want games like this not to need Operation Rainfall to come over. But with The Last Story being XSEED’s biggest success, and Xenoblade going for $90 on eBay, I wonder what could possibly have kept these games away in the first place.
@Robin Wilde: Are you kidding? I liked Pandora’s tower a lot more than “The Last Story” – which was my least favorite of the three. I suppose that it just comes down to personal taste.
Interesting view, morpha! I really liked Pandora’s Tower too, but it was definitely my least favourite of the three, as I’ve hopefully put across in my review (linked in the news story above). Still, it’s a great game, and certainly one that deserves everyone’s attention! :)
