While pinball machines have become quite scarce through the years, video pinball has seen a bit of a renaissance on the Wii U. Between Zen Pinball 2 and Pokémon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire, the eShop has some great options for fans of the old arcade staple. Those looking for a pinball experience that offers something a little bit different will want to take a look at Momonga Pinball Adventures when it arrives on the Wii U!
Momonga Pinball Adventures isn’t quite as faithful to the pinball formula as those aforementioned titles. While the game still has flippers and a ball (er, a flying squirrel curled up into one), it appears to stray from some of the conventions of the genre. Rather than feature linear boards similar to actual pinball machines, Momonga features levels for players to explore, enemies to battle and even boss fights! We’ve mirrored the game’s iOS trailer below so you can see for yourself!
Momonga Pinball Adventures is currently available on iOS, where it received some fairly strong reviews! Hopefully developer Paladin will deliver an even better experience when the game arrives on Wii U later this year.
