Masahiro Sakurai isn’t done smashing. This morning, Nintendo confirmed that the Super Smash Bros. director will hold a video presentation related to the game on June 14.
The presentation will likely focus on that day’s release of the DLC fighter Lucas, but speculation is already running rampant that future downloadable content will be unveiled, as well. Given that Nintendo’s E3 presentation is only two days after the video presentation, things could conceivably go either way! The presentation will be held at 7:40 AM Pacific Time, just 20 minutes before the Lucas DLC is scheduled to go live. As of this time, we don’t know how much the DLC will cost, though pricing similar to the Mewtwo DLC is likely.

Ooh, I wonder if we’ll get any surprises? Just so you know, Mr. Sakurai, I’ve been begging for a SD card feature for uploading music…
I’m going to go ahead and assume the presentation will indeed be 20 minutes long. If that’s the case, I’m expecting new online modes to be introduced for sure. Maybe a “for fun” mode with stocks, for instance?
It would definitely help to lure me back on breaks from Splatoon.
