Nintendo is always trying to do new and interesting things with its consoles. Dual screens, handhelds, and motion controls are all things that were popularized by Nintendo, and the company is always searching for the next revolution. In an interview with Kotaku, famous game designer Shigeru Miyamoto said he sees creating games that run on both home console and handheld as an “area of opportunity.” We see Nintendo dabbling in the idea by making Super Smash Bros. for two different systems this year, but the games are still very different given the different specs of Nintendo’s systems. Check out the story over at Kotaku to read the full interview with Miyamoto.

Although I enjoy Nintendo’s two different systems, I would like to see it offer more cross-buy content, especially with the Virtual Console. What games do you think would be fitted to cross console development? Let us know in the comments!

Definitely an area of opportunity for Nintendo. Especially as both consoles have two screens!

I still think that combining the VC’s (to some extent) would be a fantastic move.
