Since Nintendo announced that Game Boy Advance titles were headed to the Wii U eShop, we’ve seen a fairly steady stream of classic titles arrive on the service. The latest, in Europe at least, is Mario Tennis: Power Tour, a title that adds RPG elements to the traditional tennis experience. Upon release, the game received strong feedback from critics. It also joins the recently announced Metroid: Zero Mission as a title that gamers in North America should keep an eye out for. That particular game was released in Europe last week.
Mario Tennis: Power Tour has a bit of a unique title across the pond, which may lead to some confusion. In Europe, the game is known as Mario Power Tennis. This is also the title that the GameCube version of Mario Tennis went by in North America. Rest assured that, while we would love to see the GameCube finally represented on the Virtual Console, this is the Game Boy Advance version. Still, it’s a great game in its own right, so fans should keep an eye out for it when it arrives in North America.
Stay tuned to Nintendojo where we’ll let you know what to expect on the US eShop later this week. In the meantime, let us know in the comments below if plan on downloading Mario Tennis: Power Tour!
