There are plenty of new games being put on the eShop today, but we all know that the biggest release is easily Shovel Knight ($14.99) on 3DS and Wii U. Since the game’s Kickstarter campaign reached massive success last year, Shovel Knight has seen multiple delays to fine tune the experience. However, the wait is finally over! The pseudo 8-bit aesthetic and unique shovel mechanics will surly please anyone looking for a solid downloadable platformer.
If beating enemies with a shovel isn’t your thing, then you might be interested in the Boxing and Bowling additions to Wii Sports Club ($9.99 permanent pass or $1.99 day pass for both games) on Wii U. These are the last two HD remakes that complete the Wii Sports Club package, which adds new features by implementing GamePad and Wii MotionPlus controls. While this is certainly a great deal, I would personally wait for the physical release that comes with all five sports games in a single package.

I’m really digging shovel knight so far. (There’s your pun) The gameplay is great, only two minor grievances. I wish that b wasn’t used to select from the menu. Feels weird after being used to using a all these years and I’d like for the overhead shovel attack to bounce you around when you don’t hit bad guys kinda like duck tales. Still a great game and worth $15
