Nintendo has announced that Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be arriving in North America on December 5.
Unveiled at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a full-length puzzle game based upon the Captain Toad levels from Super Mario 3D World. Players must guide the eponymous Captain Toad through a series of isometric puzzles, using the camera and items scattered about the environment to navigate to the end of each stage. Our own Robert Marrujo went hands-on with the title this past summer and found it to be a clever and stunning expansion of the Captain Toad gameplay concept.
Along with a release date, Nintendo has announced that Captain Toad will retail for a budget price of $39.99. The title will also be compatible with Amiibo figures, though this feature won’t be integrated into the game until next year.
