Following the announcement that Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be arriving in North America on December 5, Nintendo has released a new, three-minute trailer for the game, giving fans another look at the anticipated puzzler.
The new trailer gives a fairly extensive overview of the upcoming title, which will see players guiding Captain Toad through over 70 isometric puzzles. Among the new features that players can expect to encounter in the game are Double Cherries, which will create clones of Captain Toad that can be manipulated to solve puzzles (just as in Super Mario 3D World), and the Super Pickax, which allows the Captain to break through blocks and create new paths. The trailer also revealed that Toadette will be appearing in the title as a playable character, marking her first starring role in a full-fledged adventure game. You can watch the full video below.

I cannot wait for this game. I loved the Captain Toad levels in 3D World, and this looks to crank that up. Plus, the lighting effects are jaw-dropping!
This game just keeps looking better. Can’t go wrong with that price point either.
And as Marc said, the details that they’re cramming into the tiny worlds are a really nice touch.
