Nintendo is no stranger to oddball naming proclivities (Wii, anyone?), but if the games attached to the company’s Nindies list are any indication, fans should be looking forward to the upcoming slate of independent releases headed to the Wii U and 3DS eShops. Comprised of titles that will be at IndieCade, an international festival highlighting independent video games, Nindies is Nintendo’s attempt to push some of the best and brightest software headed its way.
It’s quite the compilation of games, featuring names like Shovel Knight (which we loved), Costume Quest 2, Xeodrifter (a Metroid-inspired shooter from Mutant Mudds creator Renegade Kid!), Stealth Inc. 2, Shantae and the Pirates’ Curse, and much more. All of the titles will be playable at the show, so attendees should have quite a bit to look forward to experiencing!
