Zombies have long been one of the most prolific antagonists in gaming, but later this year, players will be at the center of the outbreak in ZombieBoy on Wii U. Developer DarKarnage Games’ upcoming eShop title will put players in the role of the first zombie in the world as he tries to obtain brains and spread the contagion. Zombies won’t be the only threat humankind must face, however. Aliens have also targeted Earth for conquest, and they’ll try to stop ZombieBoy on his journey. ZombieBoy’s quest should encompass ten levels, though the developer says that is subject to change.
The 2D platformer promises to make good use of the Wii U GamePad touch screen, as well as Miiverse. There is no word yet on a release date, but developer DarKarnage is shooting for a 2014 release, so the game could be shambling our way in the very near future.
