In early December, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released a story-based DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins on Wii U. Unfortunately, it seems that Nintendo fans won’t get to experience any other extra content, as the publisher has canceled further DLC on Nintendo’s console. The publisher has cited lack of interest as the reason for doing so. Those gamers that purchased a $19.99 season pass for the title will be issued a refund in the form of an eShop credit.

Sadly, Nintendo gamers have always had a bit of a difficult time when it comes to downloadable content. Few titles on the original Wii saw the same DLC offerings that PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners were graced with. This isn’t the first title from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to face such troubles, either. Injustice: Gods Among Us players have been forced to wait longer for downloadable content than those who purchased the title on other consoles. Some content for that particular game, including two playable characters, still remains unavailable on Wii U. This is made even more disheartening considering that Nintendo featured the game quite regularly in Wii U tours throughout 2013.
