Last week, Nintendo announced another brand new feature that will be making its debut in Pokémon X and Y: Mega Evolution. Unlike regular evolution, only a select few Pokémon– such as Blaziken, Lucario, and Mewtwo, among several others– can attain these new “mega” forms, which are triggered in battle via special Mega Stones.
With such a radical new addition to the series, we’d like to know what your thoughts are on Mega Evolution. What do you think of these new Mega Pokémon? I’m insanely in favour. Especially since they’ve made Ampharos essentially a drag queen with a massive weave.
Considering that a Blaziken with Speed Boost is already insanely overpowered, I don’t know why they would beef him up anymore.
The whole “changing forms in the middle of battle” also seems problematic for strategies as well, but I’ll wait until I play to pass judgment. I never liked Blaziken though, so he doesn’t deserve a new form.
