Pokémon X and Y Bundles Sell Out Quickly on Amazon Japan

And you think that we’re hyped about the new Pokémon games?

A special edition 3DS XL bundle went on sale for pre-orders on Amazon Japan at 9 am on August 10. With the bundle is a copy of the game and a very sweet looking gold 3DS XL that has silhouetted designs of X and Y‘s respective mascots, Xerneas and Yveltal, on the front and back. There’s also another bundle that has an etching of the two Pokémon on a blue 3DS XL.

Within one hour of pre-orders going up, the gold bundle sold out. And about nine hours later, the blue one sold out. Now that is some serious hype going on.

It’s been rumored that there will be a bundle along these lines that will make its way to the West, but the jury is still out on whether they will look like the Japanese ones do. I sure hope so– that gold one is really cool looking!
