2013 has been shaping up to be a banner year for 3DS. Between excellent first party offerings like Fire Emblem Awakening, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, not to mention some notable third party releases like Etrian Odyssey IV and Project X Zone, the console has seen an influx of great new titles these past seven months. And with high-profile releases like The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, and Pokémon X and Y still to come, it’s clear that 2013 will be a year to remember for 3DS owners.

So many good ones! I can’t choose!! So I said “other” =\
I agree, it’s a really tough choice, and I didn’t even mention all the great eShop titles that were released this year!
Given how much time I sunk into it though (about 120 hours and counting), I had to go with Animal Crossing. It’s become one of my most-played games ever.
FE is absolutely tops thus far, but the glut of great software this year is incredible. The Vita is like a candle compared to the 3DS blowtorch.
Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon is really good. Shocking good. 2nd most played 3DS game with 20 hours. Love it. Project X Zone is really good too. Just got that and put 7 1/2 hours in it in 2 days/
I absolutely cannot decide. This year has been amazing for the 3DS, and it’s only halfway over! I’d say Fire Emblem Awakening is the best made game that’s come out this year so far. It’s just so rich and deep.
Animal Crossing New Leaf has also proved to be the best game in the series so far, with a breadth of new content that I’m sure we’ll keep discovering until next June.
And I also consider Donkey Kong Country Returns to be one of the best platformers ever made, so it’s re-release on 3DS was also a pretty big deal for me.
Too many choices.
