Looking forward to Madden NFL 25 but found yourself disappointed by the fact that it wouldn’t be on the Wii U? Well, EA Sports can explain.
According to EA Sports Executive Vice President Andrew Wilson, the studio abandoned the Wii U when it came to its sports games because it felt that the Wii U’s demographic did not match up with its own. While Wilson insists that EA would never count Nintendo out, he said that the company had been disappointed with the outcome of the titles it had already released on the console. So for those of you who love those type of games, then it looks like you’ll be stuck with having to get the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions (nope, no Windows PC version either).
There’s still a chance, but it seems that EA doesn’t really care much about Nintendo.

Release terrible ports for no reason and then disappointed when people don’t buy it. Sound reasoning.
Agreed; EA didn’t have the decency to do true, solid ports (in particular Madden with the previous year’s engine) and then cries about the results. Who gives a new system less than a year of support then backs out? Ridiculous.
Sports is the dumbest genre there is. If you want to play football, just go outside. But we invented video games because sports are archaic and obsolete.
Oh come on now, let’s be honest. Everyone enjoys a little Tecmo Super Bowl every now and then. ;)
I am tired of EA’s back and forth on the Wii U. Look EA if you want to make games for Wii U great, I will buy the good ones not ports of last years edition. I bought Mass Effect 3 and loved it for Wii U. Sending your squad out on the field with the gamepad was terrific. If you decide not to release games for Wii U then its fine by me too, no big deal. I will always find something else to play and spend my money on.
