Earlier this week, Junichi Masuda, the director of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! hinted at the existence of a more difficult post-game experience. This morning, The Pokémon Company officially debuted a new trailer for the twin titles, granting us our first look at the game’s Master Trainers.
Each Master Trainer specializes in one specific type of Pokémon. Players can challenge each of these trainers, using only that specific Pokémon against their opponent and no items. While players will certainly want to strategize and customize their creature’s move sets to allow for more effective attacks, the video hints that their opponents will have some surprising moves up their sleeves, as well!
According to The Pokémon Company, there will be a Master Trainer for every Pokémon in the Kanto region, so players had best figure out their Magikarp strategy sooner, rather than later! Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! will release November 16.
