Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu! and Let’s Go: Eevee! promise to be a more streamlined take on the traditional Pokémon formula meant to usher Pokémon Go players toward the main series. This easy entry point for newbies might frustrate long-time fans awaiting the next major entry in the franchise, but some recent news suggests there might be something a little more satisfying for seasoned Pokémon masters as well.

Polygon recently interviewed Junichi Masuda, the game’s director, and he said the following, “A good portion of the more difficult stuff is in the post-game. There’s ways to strengthen your Pokémon, and the reason you wanna do that is, you take on these master trainers, these really powerful trainers that you encounter after the main story.”

So, while the main game might be designed to welcome new players into the fold, the endgame takes its inspiration from the main series by filling it with extra challenges. While we don’t necessarily know what these “master trainers” will be like, there was a new trailer released that shows off some legendary encounters which we can only hope will be a worthwhile challenge as well.

Both Let’s Go games launch on Nintendo Switch November 16.
