This morning, The Pokémon Company pulled back the curtain on a brand-new app available on iOS and Android devices. Pokémon Pass is a free app that allows users to scan codes in participating stores and receive digital Pokémon rewards, as a result. These rewards include stickers you can place on photos and even codes to receive shiny Pokémon in Pokémon: Let’s Go!

The first shiny distribution will be held at Target locations from May 11 through June 23. By scanning the app in stores, players will receive a code which can be redeemed for either a shiny Pikachu or shiny Eevee, depending on which version of Let’s Go they own. Let’s Go, Pikachu! owners will receive a shiny Eevee with the moves Double-Edge, Iron Tail, Helping Hand and Facade. Let’s Go, Eevee! owners will receive a shiny Pikachu with the moves Thunderbolt, Double Kick, Double Team and Thunder. To kick off the event, an exclusive Psyduck TCG card will be given away at Target locations on May 11 between 10 AM and 1 PM. According to The Pokémon Company, more distributions are planned for the future.
