We may still be in the middle of a Wii U software drought, but a few notable releases are finally starting to trickle in for the console; not only did this past Thursday bring us the digital release of New Super Luigi U, Wii U owners in North America can now also pick up Game & Wario, the latest mini-game compilation in the Wario series. (Europe, meanwhile, will be getting the game on June 28.)
Unlike the WarioWare titles that preceded it, Game & Wario is a party game designed to show off the GamePad’s unique features. Rather than playing through a series of five-second “microgames,” Game & Wario presents players with sixteen longer mini-games– several of which support up to five players simultaneously– that make use of the GamePad in different ways, from tilting the controller to guide a bowling ball down a lane to using the touch screen to launch arrows at foes on the television.
