Ikaruga is a legendary top-down shoot-’em-up developed by legendary developer Treasure for the legendary console Dreamcast (and later Nintendo’s own GameCube). Ikaruga follows the lineage of the legendary Radiant Silvergun and is created by the legendary Hiroshi Iuchi. So I surmise that Kokuga will be legendary when it comes to 3DS’s eShop tomorrow for $14.99.
Ikaruga features the well-known polarity mechanic that allows players to switch colors at will and absorb bullets of the same color. Kokuga will also feature interesting design mechanics– e.g. only allowing one shot on the screen at a given time– that will make bullet hell even more enjoyable.
